The big XR 700 is also a newcomer to Argo last year, and just like the XR 500, it comes from the Kymko family. Unlike its little brother, the XR 700 is a more powerful ATV that offers a good level of performance.
The XR 700 has an automatic CVT transmission, on-demand four-wheel drive, and four-wheel independent suspension. The modern 698 cc, SOHC, four-stroke, four-valve injection engine has torque that makes it fun to use.
The differential lock and on-demand 2 / 4WD selector easily engages with a button near the handle and is well designed to prevent accidental activation. In previous tests of the Kymko MXU700, we had found that the engine’s performance put it in the middle of the single-cylinder class. The ride was comfortable and the power steering precise, but the pretty heavy ATV exhibited significant body roll in tight curves.
The XR 700 is offered in two trim levels: Base and LE. The LE version adds to the Base version: alloy wheels with 26-inch Big Horn tires, 3000 lb winch, painted body panels, and handguards.
