Direct from Boston, BRP presents the 2026 novelties in all its off-road segments. The Can-Am off-road range has certainly received the most attention from the Quebec company. It has focused on work and tourism, not to mention a monster designed to overcome all obstacles. The electrification begun on the motorcycle range is now coming to the off-road segment, and this is just the beginning, as the desire to offer electric vehicles is firmly anchored in Can-Am’s development policy.

The 2026 Can-Am Outlander Electric sets new standards with its all-electric powertrain. Designed for professionals and outdoor enthusiasts alike, this 47 hp53 lb-ft torque ATV delivers instant acceleration. Thanks to Rotax E-Power technology (also used on motorcycles and snowmobiles), it promises a range of 80 km in the best conditions, with the possibility of recharging from 20% to 80% in just 50 minutes at a Level 2 terminal. Its real strength lies in its quiet ride. Even the XPS Recon Force tires reduce noise. Nothing has been overlooked. The suspension is optimized and the towing capacity is the best in the industry at 1,830 lb.

Perfectly suited to work in urban and suburban areas, this ATV is a low-noise solution for contractors. Its range, designed for short rides and tasks around the cottage or farm, will appeal to farmers and landowners with a charging station nearby.

Can-Am takes advantage of its expertise in several vehicle ranges to equip its Outlander XT-P and MAX Limited models with semi-active suspension. Indeed, Canyon’s three-wheelers have unveiled this cutting-edge technology, and other Can-Ams will benefit from it. This suspension adjusts suspension settings in real time, and instantly adapts to terrain conditions. The result is a smoother, more comfortable and above all safer riding experience, overcoming obstacles with unrivalled efficiency. Whether on rough trails, gravel roads or rocky terrain, this innovation improves control and stability for the rider.

The new 2026 Can-Am Defender unveils a complete redesign. Its three-cylinder engine develops 95 hp and 70 lb-ft of torque, complemented by a new pDrive transmission with three driving modes. The chassis is reinforced, and the suspension has a new geometry for improved handling. In addition, the brakes have been increased in diameter for greater stopping power. The driver experience is enhanced with a more spacious cab, comfortable seats and improved air conditioning. CAB models benefit from reduced noise and vibration. A 10.25-inch touchscreen with GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity is available. The Defender also offers greater towing and payload capacity, a larger fuel tank (45 l), and over 200 accessories for complete customization. With a width of 65 inches, it is approved for federated trails. Its dry weight of 848 kg for the base model puts it below the maximum threshold of 950 kg. Be careful, though, as better-equipped versions may exceed the legal trail weight limit.
