The Alterra 300 is another Kymco product dressed in the finery of the Alterra. Powered by a 270cc liquid-cooled engine with carburetor, the 300 is easy to drive thanks to the automatic CVT transmission complete with Hi/Low and reverse. It’s equipped with digital instrumentation, including a trip counter and a digital clock, and displays speed, mileage, the temperature of the liquid coolant, fuel level, as well as indicator lights (neutral, reverse, high-beam headlights).
The 300 does not come with four-wheel drive, but you can still use it to do small jobs around your property. It will last a long time with only basic maintenance. It’s delivered with new, strong and durable, impact-resistant racks rated for 22.6 kg (50 lbs.) at the front and 45.3 kg (100 lbs.) at the back. Just enough to move a few bags of fresh soil for gardening or to tie down a cooler for a pleasant picnic in a clearing in the forest.Â
The improvements made over the last few years are longer brake pads with improved brake calipers and master cylinders.
This is a simple, entry-level vehicle. It has a small 18 HP engine, a rigid rear suspension, and no AWD, but it does what it has to do to be able to sell at such low price.
WHAT’S NEW?
Nothing in 2025
We appreciate:
Unbeatable low price
We dislike:
- Extremely stripped-down to achieve the initial selling price
