Honda has always thought differently from others in its philosophy of what an ideal atv should be. For this manufacturer, bigger does not mean better. A lighter atv will accelerate faster and brake more quickly, while providing better control on the trail. For example, even though everyone has turned to belt-driven CVT transmissions to power their vehicles, you won’t find this type of transmission at Honda. Instead, you’ll find the DCT automatic transmission, which is exclusive to Honda and is present throughout the product range, both on and off-road.
On the other hand, Honda’s legendary quality remains, and the quads all feature a high level of assembly quality.
This year, Honda is making a comeback in the large-displacement ATV segment with the Rubicon 700, which also stands out in terms of the technical solutions it offers. The Rubicon 520/ Foreman 520 /Rancher 420 trio returns unchanged. On the UTV side, the trio of Pionner 520, Pioneer 700 and the very surprising Pioneer 1000 is still in place in 2025, while the Talon marks Honda’s presence in the performance niche.
