The range of three-passenger Rangers is offered in various body and engine versions: the 570 and the Ranger 1000, which we will discuss in a separate text. Note that the Ranger 1000 is different from the Ranger XP 1000. The Rangers were America’s first UTVs and are Polaris’ best sellers.
First of all, the updating of the models is not done at the same rate throughout the range. The two offered displacements of the three-seat Ranger have different bodies. It becomes difficult to explain everything concisely.
First, the Ranger 570 which has its own body and is the only survivor of this generation of Ranger, the XP900 having bowed out a few years ago, being replaced by the Ranger XP 1000. It is suspended by a suspension four-wheel independent with 10 inches of wheel travel and 10.5 inches of ground clearance. The 570cc single-cylinder engine delivers 44 horsepower and can pull 1500 lbs. The dumpster, which is large enough to accommodate a pallet, can hold 800 pounds. Power steering is unfortunately not offered with this vehicle.
This vehicle provides a reliable vehicule for the job at a good price.
WHAT’S UP ?
- Nothing for 2025.
We appreciate :
- The full-size Ranger 570 has a mission similar to that of the two-seater compacts, that is to offer a work-oriented and proven vehicle at a competitive price. This quad does it wonderfully.
We dislike:
- Do not think of going on long hikes with these Rangers, because the bench seat is not designed for comfort.
- No power steering available.
