The CFORCE 400 and CFORCE 500 are CFMoto’s entry-level ATVs. Last year, the manufacturer made a major cosmetic update by aligning the appearance of the bodies with that of the CFMOTO 600. Welcome, this revision brings consistency to the visual signature of the range. Almost all CFMOTO quads now come with power steering and good quality equipment. The exception is the CFORCE 400 Classic, which is on offer this year. This is a stripped-down quad with all unnecessary equipment removed to offer the lowest possible price. The CFORCE 400 is available in a single-seater or two-seater version and the CFORCE 500 in a single-seater version only.
Also standard are the adjustable four-wheel independent suspension, mirrors, turn signals, a 2500 lb winch, a hitch receiver and the excellent Innova six-ply tires on alloy wheels. The body of the single-seater is more compact in width and height than that of the two-seater.
The 400 engine is a 400cc single-cylinder four-stroke powered by electronic fuel injection. This engine produces 31 horsepower and 24.3 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm. For its part, the 500 engine is a 495 cc single-cylinder four-stroke powered by electronic injection. This engine produces 38 horsepower and 34 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is an automatic CVT with clutch provided by CVTech. This transmission is mated to a four-wheel-drive system with a lockable-on-demand front differential on the handlebars.

Classic version introduction
We appreciate:
• Good level equipment that is originally installed on the ATV.
• The reputation for reliability that is improving.
• The aesthetic update that feels good
We dislike:
• Engines lack torque when climbing hills, as torque is high in the revs.
