The Wildcat XX is Arctic Cat’s ultimate performance UTV weapon. Designed with the help of the legendary Robby Gordon, the Wildcat XX is a vehicle without compromise. The XX is powered by a naturally aspirated 998cc three-cylinder inline engine that produces 130 horsepower. It is powered by an electronic fuel injection system.
The piece de resistance of this vehicle is the suspension, which is extremely effective. It is fitted with Fox Podium 2.5 QS3 shocks and has a mind-boggling 18 inches of travel. It is calibrated with staggered front A-frames of unequal length to adjust the camber of the tire and always ensure maximum contact with the ground. In the rear, the trailing arm suspension allows the tire to move nearly straight up and down during shock stroke. To get the power to the ground, the XX rolls on chunky 30 x 10 x 15 CST Behemoth tires. The Wildcat XX also has 14 inches of ground clearance.
The front steering rack is located in front of the axles for better control. The XX’s suspension components are forged aluminum and the wheel bearings are oversized for added performance and durability. Another feature designed for durability is that all steering and suspension components are double shear. This means that all of these components get supported on two sides instead of just one with the connecting bolt passing through two support members for added durability.
The XX is equipped with a race-inspired ROPS-certified roll bar and a super-large cabin for the class. The driver’s seat is adjustable and 60% of the dashboard and center console are adjustable to help the driver see better at any speed. The XX also has full half doors for added protection and comfort.
The rear cargo area can support up to 300 pounds and can hold a 32-inch spare tire. It is also easily removable without tools for quick and easy access to the powertrain area.
The Wildcat XX is offered in four trim levels: XX, XX LTD, XX SE and the Black Hill Edition. The LTD adds the color-matched front and rear bumpers and roll cage and suspension. The SE adds to the base XX a front bumper, tubular rocker guards, a 3500 lb Warn winch and color-matched suspension and roll cage.
Arctic Cat announces the Black Hills edition which is designed for the most difficult trails. The vehicle notably features 32-inch Kenda Klever tires on 15-inch rims and a shorter differential ratio, all to achieve an impressive 16-inch ground clearance. Let’s also mention the new efficient and much less noisy clutch exclusive to this version (for the moment). You will also get the factory Garmin Tread GPS system which will allow you to keep in touch with your friends.
