The 420 models recently benefited from several improvements, In addition to a brilliant, new look, it now has a new design for the fuel injection system, PGM-FI, which improves power delivery, better throttle response, and higher overall performance, making the machine a great buy.
The Rancher is Honda’s entry-level quad. Far from being deprived, this model offers the indestructible 420 cm3 engine, electronic fuel injected engine paired with a 5-speed, semi-automatic, beltless transmission in the one case, and an automatic dual-clutch transmission in the other. Selecting the 4-wheel drive is done using a lever on the left fender, and the front differential is sensitive to the torque differential. This means that it can’t be locked on demand by the user.
The standard TRX420 Rancher is still offered in its simple form with a foot-activated, manual, 5-speed transmission, an automatic clutch, and a rigid, rear enclosed axle suspension with rocker arm. This quad is better suited to utility use than for rugged trails and trail riding. The rigid rear axle is a less expensive, simpler and lighter standard suspension that offers better cargo capacity.
The Rancher offer intermediate power and capacity that they can all use to their fullest potential. The combination of a very low centre of gravity, smaller dimensions, and lower weight ensure nimble and predictable handling. It will certainly be a reliable companion in your work and expeditions in the forest.
